It is true that some previous models of Ricoh devices could not scan to a folder hosted on a W2k3 server if SMB signing was enabled, but this has not been the case for a number of years. Ricoh are releasing firmware for almost all devices to support SMB v2 during early 2010. I didn't change any group policy, but I did have to set the scanner to search for the server by IP address rather than network name.
Or you could disable SMB signing via the registry set both below values to 0 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Current Control Set\Services\Lanmanserver\Parameters\Enablesecuritysignature HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Current Control Set\Services\Lanmanserver\Parameters\Requiresecuritysignature I have a Ricoh Aficio MP 5000 and it just wouldn't accept the DNS name of the sever. Not sure if it is related or not, but I also changed the share path from: \servername\scanned folder to \servername\scannedfolder By removing the space in the shared folder name I was able to succesfully scan to the folder.
This post was sent to me by a Ricoh dealer who was having problems configuring scan to folder to a Windows 2008 server. Ricoh devices use a version of Samba that does not currently support SMB v2 (as at Jan 2010). I found this question four days after I set up a Ricoh SP 3200SF printer/copier/fax with SBS2008.
These Code Plex adapters have more recently been bumping into another limitation.
While SOAP web services are supported in Office 365, the adapters don’t support the Office 365 authentication mechanism, which effectively renders them useless.
More importantly, this will help you get Share Point data both on-prem and in the cloud into a central data warehouse.
Cannot browse network and find SBS server shared folder from Copier Setup SMB to shared folder Authenticate using admin user name and password Copier cannot connect. I have setup numerous copiers to scan to folder in a Windows Server 2003 environment. You may need to disable it on the SBS server if this is the case.
These adapters plug in to SSIS and wrapper the Share Point SOAP web services, and therefore do not need to be installed on a Share Point server.
We have used them for years, and they work very well, however, they are a Code Plex project, and therefore not fully supported.
Last week, Microsoft released the OData Source for Microsoft SQL Server 2012 . It allows SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to use an OData feed as a first class citizen data source in the same manner as SQL Server, Oracle, etc.
Until now it was necessary to code OData connections using the script object.
Lists are exposed as Collections, so if you want to work with list data, you can then select the list from the list of Collections.
